All e-courses are delivered online and participants take the best benefit from completing the courses online. Anyhow, for those participants with a restricted online access or for field visits we also offer an «offline» version. This PDF document contains all relevant facts of the content. However, an online participation is at least necessary to join the webinars and to take part at the final exams (which are only available on the internet).
The online version supports all interactive components such as an extended search functionality, a forum and a pin-board, the online tests of knowledge and the support of closed groups within «Social Media».
The last mentioned item is becoming increasingly prominent as most of the participants (and tutors) own a smartphone with an existing access to Facebook et al., that’s why it has been decided to use this interactive potential for most of the online courses.
Participants meet with each other and the tutors in a closed group (!) to discuss about the issues they learned in the course and/or about topics which have been raised by the tutors. In every case, a participant need to apply for membership in the general Facebook-group and the discussion groups to prevent people from outside to see what is talked about in the inside of the groups.
Regular components of all courses are interactive experts input lectures. Up to 100 participants are connected together in a virtual conference room and follow the presentation of an expert, can post their questions and forward their comments. The webinar uses VoIP (Voice over IP) technique for audio and video communication which is especially optimized for a lower bandwidth.
Written comments/questions and polls are rounding up the participants interface and are firing up the discussion. All sessions, lectures and discussions are recorded to give those who could not join for any reason or who want to review a certain detail the opportunity to watch a video.
Working Groups (Forum)
The course room allows participants to get into content-related discussion with each other and up-/download own resources. The discussion forum is mainly used to establish working groups in which participants collaborate to achieve certain targets and to benefit from a mutual exchange of experiences.
Multiple Choice Tests
Interactive test forms give participants the opportunity to check whether they understood the content properly. Multiple Choice Tests help the tutors and the course administration to evaluate the students performance and may as well give the basis to decide on whether certificates can be issued or not.
